Your Internet browser keeps a record of the activity conducted on it. When you search keywords from a search engine or search engine toolbar, they are recorded in your browser's history just like web addresses typed into your address bar. If you want to delete search keywords, you can do so directly from your Internet browser.
Instructions
In Mozilla Firefox
1. Launch Mozilla Firefox. Click "Tools." Click "Options."
2. Click "Privacy." Click "Clear Now" beneath the "Private" subheading.
3. Click "Saved Form and Search History" in the "Clear Private Data" window. Click "Clear Private Data Now." Your search keywords are deleted.
In Internet Explorer 8
4. Launch Internet Explorer 8. Click "Tools." Click "Internet Options."
5. Click the "Delete" button located beneath the "Browsing History" subheading. .
6. Place a checkmark next to the "History" checkbox. Click the "Delete" button. Your search keywords are deleted.
In Internet Explorer 7
7. Launch Internet Explorer 7. Click "Tools." Click "Internet Options."
8. Click the "General" tab. Click "Delete" located in the "Browsing History" section.
9. Click "Delete Forms" in the "Delete Browsing History" window.
In Chrome
10. Click the wrench icon in your Chrome browser. Click "Clear Browsing Data."
11. Click the "Clear Browsing History" checkbox.
12. Select the time period for which you want to clear the history from the "Clear data from this period" drop-down menu. Click "Clear Browsing Data." Your search keywords are deleted.
