Install Faux Brick Paneling

Many different companies manufacture faux brick panels. One single faux brick panel actually contains many "bricks." You only need a dozen or so panels to cover a wall, depending on the size of the walls and the panels. Find a quality manufacturer to supply your faux brick panels, and install them yourself. This project is easier to do than you might think.

Instructions

1. Lay out all the faux brick panels on the floor so you can clearly see the screw holes.

2. Locate the small holes in each panel. Drop a screw into the holes in every panel.

3. Pick up your first panel and spread a thin layer of construction adhesive onto the back of the panel.

4. Place the panel against the wall, keeping the screws in the holes.

5. Holding the panel against the walls, use your electric screwdriver to screw the panels into the wall.

6. If you discover that you need to cut down a panel, use a hacksaw to do so. Make sure the cut-down panel will fit seamlessly with the other brick panels.

7. Continue to apply construction adhesive to the back of each panel before screwing them into the wall, until the entire wall is covered.

8. Using your caulk gun, deposit a small dab of caulk over each screw. This will help disguise them, so nobody will be able to tell that the wall consists of faux brick panels, instead of real brick.

9. Caulk any gaps or edges that might be found at the bottom of the wall, or where two panels did not meet exactly. Wipe away any excess caulk with a damp cloth.
