Instructions
1. Butter and flour both sides of the giant cupcake pan. Prepare your favorite pound cake recipe, doubling it if necessary to produce 6 cups of batter. If you choose a boxed mix, you need two boxes.
2. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Pour 2 1/2 cups of batter into the cone-shaped pan to form the cupcake top. Pour the remaining 3 1/2 cups of batter into the bottom pan.
3. Bake the cake for 30 minutes, then turn the cake around halfway. Bake it for another 30 minutes or until a knife or toothpick come out clean. Let the cake rest in the pans for 15 minutes. Remove the cake from the pans and cool it completely on a wire rack.
4. Level the two halves of the cake. Spread a thin layer of icing on top of the cupcake bottom, then place the cupcake top on it. Trim the edges if necessary to make it even. Frost and decorate the cupcake as you prefer.
