IPhoto is the efficient photo imaging software that is part of the Mac operating system. With iPhoto, you can import, store, share, edit and organize all of your pictures. Keywords are word tags that allow you to group pictures together, making organizing and finding related pictures a much easier task.
Instructions
1. Open your iPhoto application to access your picture gallery.
2. Choose a picture that you want to be able to identify with a keyword. IPhoto comes with standards tags, such as "Family," "Vacation," "Favorite" and "Birthday." Click the picture, then (from the Apple navigation toolbar) click "Photos" and "Get Info."
3. From the small info window, choose the "Keywords" tab.
4. Click the box or boxes that apply to your picture. If the picture is a friend's birthday, you might only click "Birthday." If the picture was of a family member celebrating their birthday while on vacation, you might click all three relevant keywords: "Family," "Vacation" and "Birthday." When all appropriate boxes are marked, close out of the Info window by clicking the red circle in the upper left side.
5. To attach keywords to multiple pictures at a time, hold down the Apple command key and click on the pictures you want to add. Then click "Photos" and "Get Info" to access the keywords list.
