Joint compound
has numerous uses around the house. It is often used to fill in small imperfections on walls or divots caused in drywall because of door handles hitting them. On occasion the joint compound will be come thick or dry out because the seal on the container is not tight enough. You can thin joint compound and restore it to its original consistency by adding water.
Instructions
1. Scoop out a small amount of the thickened or dried joint compound into the container.
2. Pour a small amount of water in the container with the joint compound. Do not put more than a few drops. It is easier to add water than adding more joint compound.
3. Mix the compound and the water together using the paint mixing stick. You may have to add a few more drops of water depending on how thin you want it.
