Paneling is a quick and easy way to give your walls a facelift.

Wood paneling is a quick and easy way to remodel the interior of your home. Paneling comes in several types, such as brick, bamboo, vinyl, real wood and more. You can order it in many different colors as well. There are several techniques to use when installing paneling, such as wainscot paneling, which is for covering only half the wall or covering the whole room.

Instructions

1. To cut holes for electrical boxes, measure from the last piece of paneling installed. If cutting first piece of paneling, measure from the closet wall to the left and right of the electrical outlet box. Measure from the floor to the bottom and top of the electrical box.

2. Transfer all the measurements on to the paneling with a pencil. Drill a hole in each corners of the traced electrical box using a 3/4-inch spade bit.

3. Cut on the lines between each hole using a jigsaw or a keyhole saw. Install the piece of paneling.
