Remove Fresh paint From The Cement Block Wall

Pressure washing will quickly remove paint from a cement wall.

A cautious approach normally has to be taken in order to remove paint from most objects, but washing it off of outdoor surfaces allows for more efficient methods. Cement block walls, for example, are at little to no risk of being damaged in the process. Pressure washing is the most effective way to remove paint from such hard surfaces. It eliminates the need to scrape, apply hazardous chemicals or use other tedious hand tools to remove layers of paint. Best of all, the cement wall will be restored to its bare condition with considerable ease.

Instructions

1. Clear the area surrounding the cement block wall if you don't want nearby objects to get wet. Drape a waterproof canvas or plastic sheeting over immovable surfaces.

2. Follow the instructions on the pressure washer to properly fill the tank with cold water. Fasten a 25-inch nozzle to the tip of the spray wand.

3. Adjust the spray pattern on the wand to a medium setting to begin. Put on safety glasses before proceeding.

4. Point the wand at the cement wall, standing at least an arm's length away from the target. Squeeze the trigger and spray the paint from top to bottom for the best coverage; work on one manageable area of the wall at a time until the paint is washed off.

5. Gradually increase the water pressure to ensure a thorough cleaning. Leave the wall to air dry over 24 hours before repainting the cement.
