Keywords are the words and phrases people type into a search engine when they are looking for information. Using the correct, most popular keywords will increase the amount of hits your article or website will receive. And more hits means more revenue. This article will teach you check keyword popularity. The keyword popularity tool you will learn about will provide you statistics on how often keywords or keyword phrases are searched by the major search engines. It will also suggest other related keywords that are popular searches. Read on to learn check a keyword's popularity and get on the road to high search engine ranking.


Instructions


1. Think about your article or web site topic. Write down any and all keywords or phrases that pertain to your content. This is a brain-storming time, so don't worry if you don't quite like some of the keywords that come to mind. You may find yourself surprised by the results. You will find out later which keywords or keyword phrases are the most popular, based on how often they have been searched by the major search engines.


2. Point your web browser to http://www.freewebsubmission.com/keyword-popularity.html. You can link directly to this web site by visiting the Resources section of this article.


3. You will see an empty box at about the middle of the page. This is where you will enter a few keywords or keyword phrases. Enter only one keyword or keyword phrase per line. Hit ENTER after each keyword or keyword phrase and you will be taken to the next line. You are limited to 15 queries.

pizza


Italian


restaurant


eatery


calzone


where to eat Italian food


4. Once you have entered all of your keywords and keyword phrases, click on SUBMIT.


5. You will now be given the popularity of the keywords or phrases you entered, as well as the keyword suggestions generated by this keyword popularity tool. Next to each keyword or keyword phrase, the "popularity" of that keyword or phrase will be listed in the form of a number. This number represents how many times that keyword or phrase has been searched by the major search engines.

As you will see, only the keywords "pizza" and "restaurant" were somewhat popular. However, if you look at the suggestions the keyword popularity tool gave me, the most popular related keywords or phrases were:


Pizza Hut


Pizza


Pizza Coupons


Domino's Pizza


Free Restaurant Menu Design


By learning this information, I would be wise to alter my article a bit to somehow incorporate these keywords and phrases into my article without compromising the quality of the article.
