The main thing that garlic and peanuts have in common is that they both grow under the ground. Peanuts are hot season vegetables that are usually started in spring, and then are grown in succession until early summer. Garlic, grown from the outer cloves of a garlic head, is in the same family as onions, but the leaves are flat instead of round. Both garlic and peanuts can be used as additions to a number of recipes.
