Installing concrete sleeve anchors is easy to do with the right tools.
Concrete is one of the most used construction materials around the world. It can be formed into an immense amount of shapes and has many uses. Because of its density, it acts as an effective sound and fire barrier between row houses. Concrete consists of three simple ingredients; aggregates (sand and gravel), water and cement. Due to its strength, fastening wood walls and other objects to concrete needs to be done with special expansion anchors.
Instructions
1. Drill a hole into the concrete using a hammer drill. The drill bit must be the same diameter as the sleeve anchor and the hole must be of sufficient depth to accommodate the fastener.
2. Clear the hole of all debris.
3. Insert the sleeve anchor into the hole until the washer is flush with the mounting surface.
4. Hand tighten the nut until it is snug and use the wrench to turn the nut three to four full turns until the anchor is secured to the base.
