Use A Slatwall

A drill is the only tool you'll need when putting up Slatwall.

A great way to create wall displays or organizers is to apply Slatwall to the surface of the wall you want to work with. Slatwall is a wall-facing material with channels running all along the width of each panel. You can then slide hooks and racks onto these channels and hang items from them. The installation of Slatwall is easy and you can do it yourself with very little effort. You can cover the entire wall or just a small part by installing different amounts of panels.

Instructions

1. Apply a panel adhesive to the walls the Slatwall will be installed on.

2. Align the panels of Slatwall against the wall so the slats are running horizontally.

3. Start with the bottom row of panels and secure them in place with drywall screws. Use a power drill to drive drywall screws in between the channels in the Slatwall.

4. Line the following rows of the Slatwall up with the grooves of the previous row so they connect at the edges.

5. Press the lips of the adjacent panels together and secure them in place until the area you want is covered.
