Easy Sand
, often referred to as EZ Sand, is a joint compound for installation of interior gypsum panel drywall or sheetrock panels. Gypsum panels are prefabricated drywall panels that are hung over plywood to form interior walls in interior residential building and remodeling. Applying compound at the joints and junctures provides a seamless look and finish. The amount of Easy Sand compound to mix depends on the amount of drywall and the number of seams.
Instructions
1. Mix dry Easy Sand compound with water in a bucket. Mix approximately 10 to 12 pints of water to every 18 lbs. of compound.
2. Stir the mixture of Easy Sand compound and water with a paint stick.
3. Apply the compound mix to the edges and joints of the gypsum panel drywall attached to the plywood with a joint finishing knife. Work the mixture deep into the joints with the edge of the finishing knife.
4. Use a rag to wipe off any excess compound mix.
